Who We Are

Shram Sahkari Sangh Limited, registered as the Labour Cooperative Federation Limited (LCFL), is a cooperative society functioning as a cooperative construction agency — सहकारी निर्माण एजेंसी.

The organisation is built around two connected aims: supporting the empowerment of labour through cooperative participation, and contributing to construction development that benefits the communities it works with.

Operating from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, the organisation brings a cooperative structure to construction-related work — one where workers, cooperation and construction activity are treated as parts of the same effort rather than separate concerns.

Our Approach

Our approach follows a simple line of thought: labour is organised through cooperation, cooperation is directed toward construction, and construction work is carried out with development as its purpose.

Each stage depends on the one before it — cooperative participation gives workers a stake in the work they take on, and that shared stake shapes how construction activity is carried out on the ground.

Our Focus

Three areas the organisation directs its cooperative effort toward.

Labour Empowerment

Supporting opportunities for workers through cooperative participation in construction-related activity.

Construction Development

Contributing to construction and infrastructure development through organised, cooperative effort.

Rural Development

Working toward infrastructure and connectivity improvements that support rural communities.

Why Cooperation Matters

Cooperative participation gives workers a direct stake in the outcomes of the work they help build — turning individual labour into a shared, organised effort.

In construction and infrastructure work, outcomes depend on many hands working in coordination. A cooperative structure gives that coordination a formal shape — one where workers participate in the effort rather than stand apart from it, and where the benefits of development are considered alongside the labour that produces it.

This is the thinking behind Shram Sahkari Sangh Limited's work: that labour empowerment and construction development are best pursued together, through cooperation, rather than as separate goals.
